I think it doesnt matter whether you have 2 hards or 2 mediums. In monaco it wouldnt matter. Track position is king

Leclerc has a new hard and two mediums( 1 new, 1 used). Mclaren have 2 new hards and 1 new medium

My gut feeling is 2 Ms is better than 2 Hs but there's probably a reason I'm not an F1 strategist 2025 Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team - Page 253 (1) 2025 Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team - Page 253 (2) 2025 Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team - Page 253 (3)

It's highly likely they would only use 1 new medium anyway, so having an extra won't be of significant benefit. Especially in Monaco, where track position is all that matters. If you get through both the mandatory pit stops and end up having track position, even if you put wets on nobody would be able to overtake 2025 Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team - Page 253 (4)

Ferrari's aerodynamics are really good, you need to try to fix the suspension and Ferrari can become the best car

A shame about the penalty. One place sould have been okay, but I am sure Aston Martin and VCARB would lobby for maximum of 3 if it were just a 1 place drop. Lewis has to see how he can use the 2 stop to get a podium.
Leclerc can win here, but one thing with Monaco, the further up the grid you are the more the dice rolls. The 2 stop can bite the front runners if they aren't careful.
A safety can can also ruin the race. This race is anyone's to win and can all be down to luck.

If I were Lewis i would go for the Mediums first.
Then onto Hards then Medium or soft.

For charles start on soft then hard to medium.

I would not pit until there is a 40 second gap to from P1 to P20.

For Sure!!

The C6 is by far the worst tyre ever made by a manufacturer in F1 history

Pirelli still has two more seasons to move that line even lower.

The issue for Lewis, like someone pointed out earlier, is that he's now stuck behind cars much slower than him. wouldnt it be better to go long on the hards (he has 2 new) for the first stint?

The hards to start with are risky because of the poor grip to launch.
I was thinking along the lines of the mediums to not lose places and trying to jump Alonso.
The mediums may well be able to run half the race.
But they can be ditched for hards at a safety car or in the pit stop window.

Merc put Lewis on hard to start last year and he was fuming when the Red flag on lap 1 happened. Saying he told them. I don’t think there is any way he doesn’t start medium.

Best bet is to accept he is racing for P5 and try to undercut Hadjar and Alonso. Maybe go long in the 2nd stint and try for a SC, while keeping an eye on the gaps to Hadjar and Alonso. If he undercuts he could be just running his own race in free air for most of it.

He will lose a lot of time stint 1 to the top 4, so not many options.

Now it's the best time to pit Hamilton, don't think Ferrari would risk as always

The idea of the two stop was a fine one. The reality was unfortunately, not that exciting.

Good work on strategy…good weekend.

Is something wrong with Hamilton's car, his pace is dropping on both 2nd and 3rd stints.

I second this; Just pitted recently for fresher tyres and Max is yet to pit and still pulling away, so there’s no chance for P4 and putting Max under pressure. Is he nursing an issue?
